Pet Pastels by Susan Morgan
Susan Morgan has been a professsional artist since 1972
and has studied with well-known artist / teacher Martin Pribil
who ran The School of Fine Art in Illinois. More recently, she
has studied with Chuck Ceraso in Colorado. Susan's work
has been shown in galleries throughout the Chicago area,
Indiana and Colorado.
Adoring pet owners from all over the United States have
been commissioning Susan to do their beloved pets'
portraits. Below are just a few actual samples from our very
happy two legged and four legged friends.
About Pastels...
A Pastel is a drawing or painting done with a soft, chalk-like
pastel 'stick' composed of powdered pigments held together
with an acqueous gum binder. In appearance, the pastel
stick essentially looks like a piece of chalk, although it is
actually somewhat softer and smoother. A drawing or Susan's studio - Boulder, CO
painting created with this kind of 'stick' is called a Pastel.
An artist who works in the medium of pastels is called a
"Pastellist".
Also available is Pet Photography by Michael - the canvas for your pet's images can be done on location or in studio.
